Over the last few weeks I made a new web site www.BirdPhotos.org
It is designed to be the fastest way for someone to get acquainted with the birds of the tropics, really by just hitting the right arrow about fifty times. The secondary goal is that these people get inspired and motivated about nature and conservation.
Over the holidays Carla and I met two older men who didn't know what a barranquero was, and said they had never seen the bird when shown a photo. But this large conspicuous bird is in even the smallest of natural areas, even inside the city. So this was part of the idea/motivation.
The site isn't yet translated into Spanish.
