The Black-mandibled Toucan is listed as 'Vulnerable' because of future deforestation, but I believe that does not include the join of the Chestnut-mandibled Toucan of central America, which seems common enough. Many organizations have their own taxonomy and things can get confusing.
Update, Birdlife does include the central American taxon and thinks that in three generations deforestation will have put this species in danger.
