I got this very shy bird after a year long wait and a three day search. Had stay in a hide from early in the morning (0600Hr) before sunrise till 0830Hr when it decided to show up next to a stream pecking and eating on the algae there. There was a pair of them with this one a wee bit closer. Got a few shots only before they scuttled back into the undergrowth and started whistling. They are also known locally by the name of Whistling Schoolboy for the whistling calls that they make at dawn that have a very human quality. The florescence seen on this bird is mindboggling.... No flash was used and being in thick undergrowth it was dark and I needed to kick up the ISO to 1600 and reduce the shutter speed to 1/60.
