Open Letter to Mayor of Boca Raton

Hi,
I often take the train from Fort Lauderdale through Boca Raton. In Deerfield I pass some undeveloped land thick with bushes. Then I pass large cut fields between Tri-Rail and I-95 in Boca Raton. These cut fields cost tax payers for gasoline, labor and equipment over and over. The lawnmowers produce carbon and the missing plants don't replace it. The cut fields do not provide a place for birds, especially migratory birds, to stop. The cut fields are not good for water retention, which is important during droughts. It is a no-brainer to let those fields grow naturally.
Thank you in advance,
Tom Friedel
